About

From Chennai, India. At home, everywhere.

I started learning to play the drumset in 2012 and explored different genres like funk, rock, folk, and Latin. Underwent lessons in Mixing, Mastering, and Synthesizing music. Flash mobs and short films seeded confidence in me. I also capitalized on the complementary skills of fellow students. I always believed in less “Heroics” and more “Teamwork”, making me enjoy being a vivid team player.

In 2017, I came to the US as my parents relocated. Culturally I had to go through a big shift. I made swift changes as there wasn’t much time for admissions. I had the privilege of auditioning at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and got my admission as a music major. My music journey continued. Pursued Bachelor’s degree in Music Industry with Jazz Concentration from 2017 to 2021.

Movies, to me, are “pure bliss.” It is soulful and one’s purest form of expression. A good movie leaves an impact for several days and years. I started seeing movies as a powerful medium. My love for storytelling, scriptwriting, photography, and every aspect of movies manifold-ed. I started following world movies regardless of language and genre, leading to my journey at Johns Hopkins University as an M.A. in Film and Media, concentrating on writing and sound.

Over the years, I have collaborated with different people from different backgrounds and gained so much experience. In 2023 as a master’s graduate, I look forward to working towards my goal of becoming a prominent part of the world of sound and learning more along the way.
